Polychrome painted and Rococo-style made porcelain case. The roc (rock) and coquilles (shells) patterns create the typical rococo decorative style. Made with very fine porcelain flower-sculptures and flower- painting. Clock has an 8 day movement, pendulum silk suspension, hour and half-hour striking on a bell. Signed Cailly, Saint-Nicolas-d'Aliermont. France circa 1850.HXWXD 33x24x11cm.
