A French mini travelling lantern clock by Mignan à Compiègne, circa 1750.
Signed on the dial. The dial has engravings and figures sawing: An eagle is escorted by two winged women figures, symbolic style appropriate for the religious and spiritual context of the 18th century. The lantern is small and built as a table model, which serves to uses it as a travelling clock. The movement is spring driven, duration of 30 hours, verge escapement and alarm.
