A French carriage clock with Limoges enamel panels, Art Nouveau ca. 1890.
This fine carriage clock dated late 19th Century is decorated with beautiful Limoges enamel panels. Three panels with winged cherub and gracefully styled slender female figures and clouds. The Limoges paintings are made in a combination of enamel grisaille, different shades of gray, and colour enamels. This travelling clock has an 8-day movement, with hour and half-hour striking and hour repeating.Button for the repeating on the top. Visual and original silvered platform escapement. A gilt-bronze case, white enamel dials with roman numerals.
