Chunky hour repeating carriage clock, 8 day movement numbered 675, with half hour / hour self strike and alarm in a lavishly decorated champlevé enamel case with original velvet-lined morocco case. Case: brass, gilt, the base and cornice with a surrounding polychrome champlevé enamel decor: flowers and foliage on a light-blue ground, facet glazed on 4 sides and on the top, the corners decorated with finely cast baluster-shaped 3/4 columns, partly enamelled handle with fluted middle part, button for repeating mechanism. Dial: polychrome champlevé enamel decor: flowers and foliage on a light-blue ground, white enamel chapter dial with radial Roman numerals, below a small enamel chapter dial with Arabic numerals for alarm, blued Breguet hands. Movement: rectangular brass full plate movement, gilt, 2 hammers / 1 gong, profiled movement pillars, 1 barrel for going train, 2 barrels for hour strike and alarm, fine platform with English lever escapement, screw compensation balance.
