Carriage clock with grande sonnerie, with 'bubble top' case (small glass dome protecting escapement). Fire-gilt case, all sides and handle  provided with refined engraving. Striking mechanism and alarm on a bell. Escapement with helical spring. Enamel white dial, Breguet hands and Roman numerals. Two separate white dials, one for the date indication and one for the alarm setting. On either side of the case a thermometer, one tube filled with mercury (white color), the other with alcohol (red color). HxWxD 19x11.5x9 cm. The clock-making Berrolla family who lived in Paris' Rue de la Tour between 1840-1860 made and retailed this exquisite carriage clock.
