Once again, the international galleries attending the 44th ART COLOGNE will cover the entire spectrum of the fine arts of the 20th and 21st centuries. Offering a showcase of select works and carefully assembled presentations, they will provide a fascinating insight into the past and present of the artistic avant-garde.

The 2010 edition of ART COLOGNE - the 44th in its long history - will again be staged in Hall 11 of the Cologne Trade Fair Centre (Koelnmesse). One hundred and ninety leading national and international galleries are expected. They will be showcasing classical 20th-century art, post-war art and contemporary art. The gallery list as it currently stands already includes important names in all three sections of the Fair. Top-flight galleries rejoining after a few years' absence are: Bo Bjerggaard (Copenhagen), EIGEN + ART (Berlin / Leipzig), Karsten Greve (Cologne / St. Moritz / Paris), Akira Ikeda (Berlin / New York / Taura), Johnen (Berlin), Peter Kilchmann (Zürich), nächst St. Stephan (Vienna), Giti Nourbakhsch (Berlin), Onrust (Amsterdam), The Paragon Press (London), Rüdiger Schöttle (Munich) and Sprüth Magers (Berlin / London). The Fair will also be hosting dealers from countries that were not represented at the 2009 event like Kalfayan (Athens / Thessaloniki), Neon Parc (Melbourne), Sonia Rosso (Turin), Starkwhite (Auckland) and The Third Line (Dubai). The upper level of the exhibition hall will be showcasing cutting-edge trends in international contemporary art together with the popular ‘Open Space' and ‘New Contemporaries' sections. Important young galleries that have already signed up - many of them newcomers - include Loraini Alimantiri Gazonrouge (Athens), Andersen-S Contemporary (Berlin / Copenhagen), Broadway 1602 (New York), Fonti (Naples), Iris Kadel (Karlsruhe), Ben Kaufmann (Berlin), Koch Oberhuber + Wolff (Berlin), Johann König (Berlin), lokal 30 (Warsaw / London), Kate MacGarry (London), Diana Stigter (Amsterdam), Martin van Zomeren (Amsterdam) and Jocelyn Wolff (Paris).
