Adrianus Johannes Groenewegen 1874-1963The artist is considered one of the last painters of the Hague School. He was a pupil of the Academy of BK in Rotterdam. He painted mostly typical Dutch landscapes, often with figures and cattle. Groenewegen is known for its brightly colored watercolors of animals, which gradually more and more abroad less experienced. His work was mainly to England, Scotland, Canada and the U.S. exported.
