The artist Henk Bos was born in 1901 in Huizen, the son of a shoemaker's servant. The young Forest developed a talent for painting still lifes in the style of old masters. He was soon recognized in his time for his work in America and was even called the new Rembrandt from Holland. (What course, what he thought too much credit). Several museums like the Maryhill Museum of Art have in their work of Henk Bos permanent collection. Much of the work of Henk Bos is in America and still pops up in many galleries there. In the Netherlands the interest in still lifes, especially the last few years. Work by painters as John Helmantel, Rob and Henk Molmann forest now becoming increasingly popular. An ideal time is to Henk Bos to care that he has actually earned the last century. Forest was a member of St. Luke the artists' associations in Amsterdam and Gooi Painting Association in Laren.
