Everhardus Koster took at the age of 16 with B.J. Hove art class because he wanted to be an engineer. Van Hove, however, saw a painter in him and Koster followed his advice. He developed into an accomplished watercolor painter of sea and river views. He was called by contemporaries even the 'Cuyp of our days'. His work has been sold far to Germany and England.
Museums: Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem and Maritime Museum 'Prins Hendrik' in Rotterdam.
