**Li Chang**

Li Chang series 'Sugar' combine themes of feminine, theatrical spectacular with symmetrical variety and colour. The name 'Sugar' refers to colourful circles in the background suggesting candy loli-pops. These loli-pops feature throughout the series, each slightly readjusted with splashes of paint thrown across the surface. This, and the female figures in action, create a colourful vibrancy manipulated in symmetrical forms. One might liken the compositions to be similar to that seen in a kaleidoscope. Bright colours reminiscent of stage light and glitter as well as long legs enabling geometric variety create kaleidoscopic appearances. In conclusion, the viewer is invited to enjoy a lively energetic scene showing attractive entertainment set amongst a colourful shapely scene.
