During 1912 many images of the Provencal landscape, like this Village Provence, les Angles, came to existence. In these works we can easily determine Schelfhout's attitude to unify different fragments into a plane projection, thus creating a panoramic view of the landscape. The palette is dominated by the preference for grey, ochre and slate-blue, alternated with green, slightly white and occasional red colours.
