John Rädecker was a Dutch sculptor, painter and draughtsman. He is mostly known for his contrib
ution to the National Monument on the Dam in Amsterdam. In his oeuvre, Rädecker emphasizes sensitivity and sensuality, but his works are also mysterious. His early work shows the influence of Jugendstil, indigenous art and cubism. He was one of the most important sculptors of his time.
