Bronze 'cire perdue' sculpture of the naked Apolino, standing in elegant pose.

  • Leaning against a (separately cast) tree stump with a quiver
  • Upraised right arm is bowed over his head
  • Beautiful cast with carefully modeled details in the face and haircut after an ancient original
  • The cast is showing on the back some tiny cast defaults, which are filled up with pewter
  • Rich greenish / brown patination
  • On a modern rectangular wooden base
  • Note: Frits Scholten curator of the Rijksmuseum has examined this bronze and suggested the surrounding of Francois Duquesnoy
