A ribbed trunk in which the spindle is mounted starts from the fire-gilded openwork, shell-shaped base. Three elegant candle holders decorated with floral motifs and a height-adjustable red patinated tin shade are attached to this spindle. The height is clamped by an arrow, and the spindle is crowned with a fire-gilded acorn.
Bouillotte lamps are named after the card game with chips that was very popular in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth century. The lamp was placed in the center of the table. In order not to look into the candle, there is a hood that could be adjusted so as not to look into the flame after some time.
