A Louis Quatorze mirror elaborately decorated with grapevines and grapes, which are draped around the mirror, and bows with tassels in the bottom two corners. The mirror is topped with two putti holding a crown over a coat of arms. This coat of arms belongs to the family Kien from Zeeland, the Netherlands. One member of the family was Cornelis Kien (1640-1709), he was between 1665 and 1688 mayor of Veere, Zeeland and governor of the V.O.C. (Dutch East India Company), just like his father before him.
