Two plaques from a series depicting the suffering of Christ, showing the Bearing of the Cross and the Resurrection.
 
The plaques were made by master Arent van Bolten van Swol (also known as monogrammist AVB) who was born in Zwolle in 1572 and died before 1625.
 
The Rijksmuseum Amsterdam have the complete series in their collection, in bronze instead of silver.
