Lucien Frank was a renowned Belgian Impressionist painter and watercolourist of landscapes, seascapes and urban sights. He received his artistic education in Paris from Charles Daubigny and received advice from Edouard Manet. Frank painted numerous Parisian urban scenery in Realist style with liminuous features. He worked a lot in Brussels, mainly in Tervueren, also at the Belgian coast, Spain, France, and The Netherlands. Critics refer to him as a talented Impressionist painter in which clarity and joie de vivre are reflected in his landscapes.
