For more than twenty two years Rachel Reijers has been collecting Europea art nouveau and art deco, with an emphasis on French art glass from the turn of the 19th to 20th century. French art glass has become her live commitment and love. She started her activities as a professional art dealer in 1988 with her first gallery in de Frederikstraat in The Hague. Soon the shop became to small for her aspirations. She opened a larger gallery at the prestigious Noordeinde, a street known for its antique stores and art galleries and the Royal Palace. After these achievements Mrs. Reijers starts a new approach for her gallery, her clients and herself. Due to the technological developments Antes Art 1900 has now become a virtual gallery. Her contacts are all over the world, her clients know where to find her. On regular base her collection is found on the best of Art and Antique fairs. Mrs. Reijers has published several articles on art nouveau and art deco over the last 15 years. She also studied art history at Leiden university for three years. Her dream would be to organize an exhibition on French art nouveau and art deco glass as a guest curator in one of the leading museums in the Netherlands, so a large public will be able to see the beauty and craftsmanship of the artists of this era.
