Surrounding of Pierre Blondeau. He was a modeler and sculptor for the Sèvres porcelain manufactories, and was highly inspired by drawings after Jean Baptiste Oudry.

  • Probably sort of French beagle named 'Grand Bleu de Cascogne'
  • Left a pannier and behind the dogs a tree stump with foliage
  • The bronze is cast in three separate  parts, and with rubbed brown / black patination
  • On (modern) gilt wood base
  • Compare: C.Payne. Animals in Bronze, p. 232. no. D.88 ( later XIX the century cast)
