Case-transparency through the five faceted glass sides and skeletonised dial with red stones (rubies) to indicate the hours, Arabic numerals. On the back the signature : Brevets J.L. Reutter M
No 4335. Working: The Atmos clock contains a drum with a U-shaped tube containing mercury and a gas. Due to temperature changes a thermique/ thermal current develops in the drum and causes the axle with the U-shaped tube to oscillate to and fro. Because of the continuous changes in temperature and atmospheric pressure there is a continuous oscillation which causes the movement to roll permanently, we have a Pendule Perpétuelle. Original case and movement and in a perfect condition. The invention is the work of the French engineer Jean Leon Reutter. Very exclusive in this Art Deco design. HxWxD 23,5x17,5x14 cm.
