Empire mantel clock, ‘La Liseuse’, ca. 1810. Fire gilt bronze sculpture depicting a reading woman in Empire dress besides the clock. The base is of green marble. The clock has a white enameled dial and the time piece has an eight-day movement, striking on a bell. It is a high quality bronze, in perfect original gilding. Dimensions: HWD ca. 35x30x12 cm.
