Description

Empire ink set with music playing mechanism, circa 1820.
Playing with sectional comb, plays two melodies. Veneered with birds eye maple, beautiful fire-gilded bronze ornaments, including a pair of swans.
Crystal inkwells. In original gilding. The combination of inkstand and music is very unique.
HxWxD 13x21x9.5 cm.
