A very nice French  'Capucine' travelling clock from circa 1840.

The very popular size and the symplicity of the case of the clock makes it very much in demand.

The 8-day time-piece movement with alarm. Strong sympatic white enamel dial with Roman numbers. The silk thread suspension movement in one train. The alarm is switched off by pulling a rope on the front left side. Lovely proportioned all over copper case with doors on three sides. Strong handle and bell on top.
