Description

An highly important 3-train wooden wheel animated wall clock from the former Wuppertal museum.

The wall-clock with the angelus alarm system was used to remind the monks to pray in the morning afternoon and evening. The animated figure on top rings the bell for a minute. The quarter striking hand on a subsidiary dial .

This clock is in all original condition and according to the museum the oldest one known. The original painted clock is in very good/almost mint condition. The original glass weights are very unusual and very good and deorative. Also the escapement (wag-escapement) is all original.Doors etc/etc everything original.
