5-cm gilt bronze dial with cartouche Roman numerals and finely pierced blued hands, ornate bezel with signs of the Zodiac, 8-day spring driven movement with cylinder escapement, cast gilt brass case with sunburst cresting flanked by two cockerels behind which a decorative scroll and five turned finials, turned pilasters to the sides terminating in turned feet
