Marc Uzal spent his childhood among Parisian antique dealers. At the age of 17, he became an apprentice in wood gilding. On completion of his apprenticeship he gave up restoration to focus on his true passion: searching for exceptional objects. In 1990, he moved to the Sablon in Brussels where he specialises in 19th century objects, whose craftsmanship he wants to make known to prove that the 19th century has brought us much more than the reproduction of older styles. His gallery offers a wide selection of artworks demonstrating the genius of the 19th century.
