Founded 26 years ago, Edward Pranger Oriental Art has established a global reputation for quality in the field of Asian art. Mr. Edward Pranger studied Chinese languages and culture at Leiden University, The Netherlands. Then, with a firm command of the Chinese language, he furthered his studies in Chinese Art History at the National Taiwan University, Taiwan. His wife, Franny, also brings huge knowledge and expertise to the collection. She specialized in selling important Chinese ceramics and bronzes to leading international dealers for fourteen years in Hong Kong.

Recently, Edward and Franny have supplemented their collection of Asian arts and antiques with [contemporary artworks](http://en.prangergallery.com/), which will be exhibited regularly in Nieuwe Spiegelstraat 53, in Amsterdam’s Spiegelkwartier. Represented artists include internationally recognised names such as Ma Liuming and Wei Guangqing, as well as artists that have so far only scarcely exhibited in the West, most notably those belonging to the so-called ‘School of Hubei’.

As a distinguished member of the CINOA and VHOK Antique Dealers Association, Edward Pranger Oriental Art participates in the major international art fairs and exhibitions around the world.

Edward and Franny Pranger are specialists and enthusiasts. As such, we will always be delighted to advise you on the creation of your own collection, according to your own aesthetic taste and budget.

Valuations, restoration advice and commission bidding at auctions around the world complement this service and we work with expert packers and shipping agents worldwide.
