This pair of fine Empire candlesticks are rare in form and execution.
 
The ormolu bronze is finely micaceoused with vine branches and floral motifs.
 
Beautifully executed caryatid heads, in this case three, support the candle holder.
 
With the original bobeches.
 
France, Empire, circa 1810.
 
Almost identical candlesticks were sold at Christie's in Monaco, June 15th,1997, lot 136.
