This is a magnificent and charming Empire ensemble featuring two Greek warriors and a square compendium pillar. The pillar has a thermometer and a timepiece movement on its sides, as well as the days of the week. The entire ensemble is beautifully mounted on smart red marble square bases.
On top of the pillar, there is an urn section that can be used to hold lovely smelling leaves or other decorative items. The urn is covered with a charmingly detailed butterfly, which adds the perfect finishing touch to this exquisite piece.
This ensemble is from France, circa 1830. The warriors are 21 cm in height, 17 cm in width, and 7.5 cm deep. The compendium pillar is 27 cm in height, and 10 cm in width and depth.
