Atmos clock in dark green , J.L. Reutter number 5013, France circa 1930. Cabinet in Art Deco style. Silvered dial with daggers as numerals, signed Atmos Pendule Perpétuelle, made in Paris, Brevets J. L. Reutter. With the original Atmos clockwork. The drum of the clock contains a mercury- and gas tube. Changes in weather conditions in particular temperature causes volumes changes. This generates a thermic in the barrel. The fluctuations and rotations are collected and the energy is used to drive the movement continuously. It is therefore called Pendule Perpétuelle. The invention was made by a French engineer, Jean Leon Reutter. HxBxD 24x19x14 cm
