Beautiful early travel alarm clock called "Capucine" with two very nice pear shaped bells and a duration of 8 days. Striking every full and half hour with the repetition of the number of hours after two minutes on the hour, strike on demand and alarm clock. Anchor escamement. Dial signed "Gouttebaron a Lyon". France, ca 1820. Strike on demand by means of a lever on the right side.
