8-day movement with quarter striking, ebonised case with rare ormolu mounts.
The 16-cm enamel convex dial has Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the five minute marking. The center is signed A-me Du Comun Chaux de Fond and the blued steel hands are well made.
The movement is driven by two spring barrels and has a duration of eight days. It is regulated by verge escapement in combination with a silk suspended pendulum. On the back plate it s signed Aime Du Comun Chaux de Fond. The clock strikes the quarters on two bells by means of rack striking.
The ebonised wooden case has a cushion top surmounted by three ormolu tulip shaped finials. There are glass panels to the sides and door which has a gilt bronze mounts with plants. The whole is placed on a ogee shaped wall bracket.
