A special English wall clock (Clock Hood) signed James Irish Steyning, ca 1785.

The - only - timepiece is equipped with alarm. The time is indicated by means of a steel hand. The silvered chapter ring is made of brass. The brass dial has in the four corners a cast bronze ornament, in the arch a silver plaque with an inscription of the signature of the maker.

Behind the hand is the alarm disc. The movement has an anchor escapement. The duration is 30 hours. The clock cabinet is made ​​of black lacquered fruitwood.
