A very unusual strong, good looking pair of four-light candlesticks, made either in Central Europe or Spain. These contain many unusual details.

The design is very different from traditional candlesticks from this period. The supports to the candle holders could be Egyptian Revival characters. The sticks are patinated dark bronze with engraved collars. The urns above the base are decorated with acanthus leaves. The circular bases are partly patinated and guided with unusual motifs.

The central flame can be inverted to become a fifth candle holder.

These are a challenge for collectors to research and attribute. A must to complete a collection.
