Description

A beautiful embroidered panel, satin and silk on red velvet, depicting Venus and Amor in a shell-formed throne, between laurels. On a valance plinth with three petals (lambrequins) enclosing two oval coat-of-arms. In a square framing with volutes in the corners and intertwining flower-sprigs. Probably used as a marriage present for a noble family.

Condition Note
The paper worked embroidered figures are worn on the flesh parts, further in very fine condition.
