The fourteen-day movement is driven by a spring barrel and is regulated by an anchor escapement in combination with a pendulum hung on silk. The movement has a pull quarter repeat on two bells. The enamelled dial indicates the hours and quarter hours using Arabic numerals. The clock is signed A. Pinta à Paris in the centre of the dial.
The movement is encapsulated in a round, gilt bronze oeil de boeuf case. Both the case’s outer edge and the round rim around the dial are decorated with a pearl border. The upper and lower sides are embellished with elegant appliques in the shape of draped branches with foliage. Atop the case is a graceful gilt bronze bow with a ring to hang the clock.
