Description

Workshop of Leonhard Posch (1750-1831): a wax oval profile portrait of the apostle Paul. Similar versions are known in ivory, cast iron (Schloss Charlottenburg, Berlin) and in bronze (Mimara museum in Zagreb). In a frame of later date and with thin hair tear in the wax on the back plate. Size frame: 20.5 x 17.
