A fine English mahogany longcase clock Dwerrihouse Berkley Square London circa 1780 arched engraved silvered dial with Roman numerals and five minute marking signed Dwerrihouse Berkley Square, blued spade hands and subsidiaries for date and seconds in the centre, strike/silent in the arch, 8-day weight driven movement with anchor escapement and rack hour striking on a bell, fine case with well figured mahogany of rich colour, moulded break arch hood surmounted by a brass ball finial, canalled canted corners flanking the glazed door, moulded break arch door, rectangular base with moulded panel raised on a double plinth
