A very different English Regency, mid nineteenth century mahogany bracket clock with matching bracket, circa 1830.
The case with arched top and side arched glass apertures, the corners decorated with brass inlay. Below the dial, lovely ebony geometric decorations. A pair of bronze handles and ebonised ball feet. The matching handsome bracket is of unusual design.
The bright silvered dial with Roman numbers, guilded spade hands for the hours and minutes. A third hand for the alarm. In the arch, a subsidiary dial for the days of the month. The dial signed Brockbanks.
The eight day, three-train fusee driven, quarter striking, repeating, chiming, movement on three bells. Unfortunately the alarm mechanism is missing. On the back plate beautifully engraved is the signature Brockbanks, London.
The the height of the clock and bracket together is 74cm.
