French Louis XVI Ormolu-Mounted Marble Mantel Clock, circa 1780. Enamel dial with Roman numerals, signed in red 'Hilger A Paris', fine pierced engraved gilt hands, 8-day anchor movement with silk suspended pendulum and countwheel half hour striking on a bell, break arch (borne - shaped) white marble case with fine foliate pierced ormolu mounts surmounted by a urn, fluted quarter columns to the sides flanked by scrolls, shaped base raised on toupee feet.
