This ‘four glass’ mantel regulator is of extraordinary high quality. The luxury guilded case is quite unusual and was an additional option when the clock was ordered. The ‘central sweep-second’ hand was a superior optional extra.
These electrical clocks were quite experimental in the 1920s and Bardon Clichy had a very good reputation for designing an accurate horse shoe pendulum. The company were located at 61 Blvd National, Clichy, Seine.
The white enamel dial, with Arabic numbers. Lovely ‘blue-steeled’ spade hands.
