6.5-cm Sèvres dial with pink 'grottesque' decor on a gold ground, white cartouches with Roman numerals signed for the retailer Shreve Crump & Low Boston, alarm subsidiary below, fine blued steel hands, spring driven movement with platform anchor escapement of 8-day duration, rack petite sonnerie quarter striking on two gongs, grande sonnerie on demand, alarm, gilt brass Anglaise case inset on all sides with similar porcelain panels surmounted by a carrying handle.
