Description
A mahogany Empire sofa with semicircular backrest. The armrests with beautifully carved swans.
The swan was a symbol for Napoleon’s Empress Josephine, who loved them so much they adorned every aspect of her chambers, and she had black swans imported from Australia for her gardens.
