This Indian box is used by the groom to transport jewellery and adornments that he gives to the bride on their wedding day.
 
Its unique shape is inspired by the roofs of houses in the province of Kerala, on the Malabar Coast in south-west India.
 
The wood used is portia, a hardwood from the teak family.
