A Dutch barometer in a burl walnut veneered case. The pewter scale plates are engraved and lacquered black. The barometer has two windows. The larger window is located at the bottom and shows the thermometer against its scale plate, graduated in Fahrenheit and Florence. Behind this runs the countertube for the barometer, whose scale plate is located in a window above the thermometer and shows the scale in Rhineland inches. The barometer scale plate is signed: Baraieli Amsteldam.
