Silvered dial with Roman numerals, signed Atmos Pendule Perpétuelle, made in Paris, Brevets J. L. Reutter. With the original Atmos clockwork. The drum of the clock contains a mercury- and gas tube. Changes in weather conditions in particular temperature causes volumes changes. This generates a thermic in the barrel. The fluctuations and rotations are collected and the energy is used to drive the movement continuously. It is therefore called Pendule Perpétuelle.
