The dial

The 2.4-cm enamel dial with has Arabic numerals and is signed Lepine Place des Victoires 2 Paris. The foliate pierced Louis XV hands are made of brass. The dial lays recessed in a gilt mask beautifully engraved with a basket and scrolls.

The movement

The movement is driven by a spring barrel and has an eight day duration. The back plate is signed Lepine 28100. The movement is regulated by a platform lever escapement in combination with a bi-metallic balance with adjustment screws.

The case

The gilt brass case is surmounted by a handle. The moulded top with protruding corner has a beveled glass panel revealing the working escapement. On the corners there are fluted columns with capitals with beveled galss panels in between. The base with heavy mouldings is raised on flat feet. The base is numbered 28100 D. The original travel case is still with this lovely clock.
