Description

A very extremely unusual hood clock probably south Netherlands or north Belgium or the Germany border. Possibly from the 3-land point were the borders of the Netherlands Belgium and Germany meet each others.

The fantastic carved coats of arms suggests connections with a Noble Family.

The bell striking platine movement on weights. Anchor escapement and long pendulum .The weight driven alarm mechanism on the side of the movement. Lovely primitive folk art dial with a nicely engraved chapterring and a lovely pierced  hand.The beautiful door with walnut fineer makes the clock important. On the sides also lovely oak carved freds.wooden side doors The total hood 70 cm. Total lenght with pendulum 160 cm.
