19.5-cm arched brass dial with engraved silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, pierced blued hands and silvered alarm disc, matted centre with apertures for day, date and mock pendulum with signature J.P. Kroese, foliate pierced spandrels and attractive polychrome painted moonphase, lever for strike/silent near III, 8-day spring driven fusee movement with verge escapement and finely engraved back plate, trip repeating Dutch rack half hour striking on two alternating bells, pull wind alarm on the large bell, ebonized case with inverted bell top surmounted by a brass handle, finely foliate pierced frets to all sides, front and back door, moulded plinth on bracket feet.
