Description
Special Groningen "stoel" clock. An eighteenth-century chair clock dated 1747. The heavyset chair clock with moon, date and double 'attic' is a very unique one. One day movement with verge escapement and alarm work. Whole and half hours strike in full. The beautifully painted rear shelf has beautiful slender ears and a very special tailpiece. The clock is in exceptionally good condition. A true piece of heritage.
